PACT-Ottawa and the Ottawa
Coalition to End Human Trafficking (OCEHT) on September 26th
for this year’s Freedom Relay in support of the OCEHT and the Chrysalis
Anti Human Trafficking Network! This year, the event will take
place at the Immaculata High School track, with participants taking part
through either a team or as an individual. Participants are encouraged to
collect pledges from family, friends, coworkers and neighbors to help support
these great initiatives, and can find a pledge form here. Registration cost is $15 per person or $60 for a team
of up to six; an online sign up form is below with electronic payment but you
can also bring your registration fee and register at the event on the day of. Prizes
will be award for the most spirited team, the highest fundraising team, and
the highest fundraising individual. Teams will be responsible for ensuring at
least one member of their team is actively running/walking the track at all
times. Pump up music and water will be provided, and baked goods for sale to
keep you energized!
This year the event will also include a Fair Trade Market, where Fair Trade vendors from around the city will be promoting and selling some of their products. Bring your cash and look out for some wonderful Fair Trade products! We will be releasing a vendor list soon, stay tuned!
