PACT-Ottawa was founded in 2004. Our members contribute their time, ideas and area of expertise on a voluntary basis to the action of the group. PACT-Ottawa is a co-founder and member of the Ottawa Coalition to End Human Trafficking. For more information, please see: http://www.pact-ottawa.org and http://www.endhumantrafficking.net .
With the support of the Director of Development, the Treasurer & the Volunteer Coordinator, you will:
- Conceive a fundraising strategy for PACT-Ottawa and lead the execution of that strategy
- Coordinate the efforts of PACT-Ottawa volunteers working on development activities
- Work closely with other PACT volunteers in key roles, such as the Event Coordinator
- Approach and involve other community organizations in fundraising activities, including members of the Ottawa Coalition to End Human Trafficking and businesses that have a proven record of fair trade and fair labour practices
- Communicate clearly with other PACT volunteers, donors, community organizations, businesses
Qualifications --
You are:
- a resident of Ottawa
- highly task- and results-oriented
- experienced with fundraising or grant writing for a non-profit organization – any training taken in fundraising would be an asset
- fluent in English and French
- an excellent communicator, oral and written
- a leader, able to motivate and guide others
- enthusiastic and committed to PACT-Ottawa’s vision, mission and goals
